How to identify Maryland’s Unsafe Drivers.

1. MUD – Maryland Unsafe Driver

2. MUD Clod – 2 vehicles in a tight (following too closely) clump proceeding along the highway at an unsafe speed. (See also St5icky MUD when the driver in front is driving safely.)

3. MUD Slide – four or more vehicles following too closely on the highway

4. MUD Slide with a Cherry on Top – MUD Slide with a police officer at the front of the slide.

5. MUD Pie – A MUD involved in a collision.

6. MUD Flow – Red light and stop-sign runners.

7. MUD Pot – MUD involved in a single car collision with something.

8. Cherry on Top – Police Officer somewhere in the mix

9. MUD Run – A MUD involved in a hit and run.

10. MUD Puddle – Two or more MUDs in a collision.

11. MUD Bath – Fatal collision with a MUD involved. The dead MUD is Dried MUD.

12. MUD Tonic – MUD rationalizing their behavior.

24. Pulled PORK – A MUD’s vehicle being towed from a crash.

25. MUD puppy – Teen age MUD.

26. MUDdy Waters – Heavy rain with MUDs onj the roads.

27. MUDdy Buddies – MUDs racing or showing off together.

28. MUD Logging – Police working radar looking for MUDs.

29. Run a Muck – Police checking wants, warrants, and driver status for a MUD.

30. MUDah or MUDr – A MUD mother that drives unsafely with her kids in the car.

33. MUDding Trucks – Tow Trucks

34. MUDbound – A handcuffed MUD.

35. MUDshark – MUD’s attorney, also called a MUD Guard

38. MUDflap – The newspaper article about the MUD’s crash.

39. MUDflat – The MUD with a deflated tire.

40. MUDwalker – An unsafe pedestrian.

42. MUDdy – What a MUD is.

43. Slider – MUD that glides through a red light or stop sign.

44. Cherry Slider – A police officer on or off duty that glides through a red light or stop sign.

45. Cherry Slide Maneuver – The act of a police officer choosing to glide through a red light or stop sign without emergency lights activated.

46. Avalanche with a cherry on top- Every one in a great while you will see one of these

47. Tubed MUD – MUD that have appeared on our YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/stopthemud “Hey man, you’ve been tubed.”

43. Bacon – MUD driving a convertible on a hot sunny day.

44. Sticky MUD – MUD following a single vehicle too closely

45. Medical MUD – Unsafe driver with RN plates.

46. Blazing MUD – Unsafe driver with fire fighter plates.

47. LID – Unsafe driver with Ham radio plates.

48. MUD Wump – Careless parking lot collision.

49. Road Kill – Something that you, your family, pets, or animals in your town would like to be.

50. MUDsicle – An unsafe bicycle operator.

51. MUD Boat – MUD driving a vehicle with Yacht club plates.

52. MUD Bird – MUD with RAVENS vanity plates.

53. MUDdy Bottom – MUD motorcyclist falling off his/her ride.

54. MUD Hut – MUD’s garage.

55. MUD Tracks – straight roadways in neighborhoods where MUDs pick up speed putting residents at risk.

57. MUD Hen – What a MUD is when he sees a police officer and slows down quickly or backs away from the car in front of his/hers.

60. MUD Oven – Road killer’s vehicle on fire.

61. MUD sweat and tears – MUD about to receive a citation.

63. Drywall MUD – MUD collision with a building.

64. MUD Armor – Radar detector.

65. MUD Bench – MUD’s bench at the jail intake desk.

66. MUD chains – Handcuffs and restraining devices

67. MUD DEvil – Angry aggressive driver.

68.  Yellow Tail – A school bus tailgating another vehicle. (Yes it happens!)

69.  Mudavalanch-pronounced muh-dava-lanch.  Mud Slides across multiple lanes making  a bad situation even worse.

70. MUDFOP – A driver displaying police association plates of whatever type and driving unsafely. “Look mom there goes a MUDFOP!”

71. HOTMUD – A driver displaying fire fighter association or organization plates driving unsafely. “Look out mom here comes some HOTMUD!”
